Gog and Magog In Scripture

"The word of God was addressed to me as follows, 'Son of man, turn towards Gog and the country of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and T ubal..." .(Ez.38:2).

Three countries are here described, Magog, Meschech and Tubal.

In the Greek scriptures, a third, "Rosh" is included.

In Daniel's vision of the 4th Persian empire the empire destined to conquer most of the earth in the last days he notes that it will have ten heads (Dan.7:7).

In the Book of Revelation, John was informed by the angel of God that these ten heads constitute ten kings (ten nations) which are destined to rise up in the last days in association with the beast.

Of these ten kings, Daniel wrote:

"While I was looking at these ten horns, I saw another horn sprouting among them, a little one; three of the original horns were pulled out by the roots to make way for it; and inside this horn I saw eyes like human eyes, and a mouth that was full of boasts." (Dn. 7:8).

Those three horns pulled up by the roots seem to be the "Meschech" and "Tubal" which Gog is said, by Ezekiel, to rule in association with his own "Magog". The three (perhaps including "Rosh") constitute "Magog". The remaining 7 kings will satellite themselves around the beast and together field an army that measures "as the sand of the sea".
